Would you be horrified to discover that you are sectarian, if even only in an innocent way?
Would you like to see it proved that Ulster men have evolved to riot?
Are you interested to find out what links glue sniffing with rioting?
Do you believe that Gerry Adams sounded better when he was being dubbed by an actor?
Would you like to see Jake explain why Catholics can't march while Protestants can't paint?
All these and many more questions that have kept you awake for many years will be answered in Jake O'Kane's new one man show, Tear Gas. Jake, well known as one of the country's best known standup comics, has decided after sixteen years to decommission his Troubles material. This show combines the photographs of legendary Belfast photographer Brendan Murphy; the graphics of Orlaith Cullinane and computer wizardry of Robert Hamilton to give a hilarious night of comedy.
Jake, renowned for fearlessly dealing with topics that other comics shy away from, takes his audience on a comedic journey through the last thirty years of our shared history. Be you old enough to remember Martin McGuinness with a perm or so young that you think an army pig is a pink thing on four legs, there's something for you.
This is a one off tour. Catch it this time round ëcos it ainít coming back - Jake has other things he wants to talk about! Get to one of the shows and you're guaranteed to be the one who has something to talk about the next day at work.
The next show in the tour is in The Grand Opera House Belfast on the 11/12/09
